Russian governors need to ensure partial mobilization in full compliance with the announced recruitment criteria and not make mistakes, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said in her telegram channel.

“Once again I ask each of you— consider that I am addressing personally— if necessary, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, be in constant contact with the military commissars, in direct communication with regional ombudsmen and members of the public, but ensure that partial mobilization is carried out in full and absolute compliance with the announced criteria. Without a single mistake!»— politician wrote.

According to her, information about incorrect cases of mobilization of citizens, “obviously not falling under the selection rules declared earlier by the Russian military leadership,” is already appearing and actively discussed in society and social networks. “It seems that somewhere it is admitted that a quick report is more important than a qualitatively fulfilling an important state task. Such excesses are absolutely unacceptable. And I think, quite rightly, they cause a sharp reaction in society,»,— the speaker of the Federation Council emphasized.

She pointed out that at present the country has an incredibly high level of patriotism, cohesion and support for the goals of a special military operation, so there should be no such cases of incorrect conscription. “People should see the responsibility of the government and feel the openness and fairness of all its actions,” — concluded Matvienko.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in Russia on 21 September. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that it would cover 300,000 people, or 1% of the country's mobilization reserve. According to the presidential decree, those called up for partial mobilization will have the status of military servicemen under contract and will receive payments and social guarantees as military personnel.

The Ministry of Defense explained that privates and sergeants under 35 years old, junior officers under 50 years old, senior officers are subject to partial mobilization. up to 55 years old. One of the main factors for conscription, the department calls the presence of combat experience among those called up from the reserve. The postponement is provided for some employees of high-tech industries, banks and the media, as well as students of universities and colleges.

Cases of mobilization of citizens by mistake have already been recognized by the authorities of some regions. In particular, the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, said that fathers with many children with four children under 16 were called up. He called the situation unacceptable and promised that “those called in error will be returned.” The head of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev, also reported that work on the return of those mistakenly mobilized in the region had already begun.

The governor of the Magadan region, Sergei Nosov, also reported on complaints from relatives of citizens not subject to mobilization. Similar cases were identified in Buryatia, where, according to the head of the region Alexei Tsydenov, after clarifying the data, 70 fathers with many children were released home. The Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that there are cases when those who have not even served urgently are called up. He promised to deal with such incidents personally.
