A Russian air defense officer from the Brave group of the Russian Armed Forces said that Turkish Bayraktar drones are a target for beginners.
According to him, a lot of Bayraktar were shot down at the beginning of the special military Russian operations in Ukraine.
“Our air defense systems worked very well. Fighting drones is actually not difficult at all. We jokingly call Bayraktar a “beginner level” for an operator,” the officer said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the executive director of the Turkish aircraft manufacturer Baykar Makina, Haluk Bayraktar, issued a statement in which he noted that the company will not sell its drones to Russia. This decision was made due to the fact that the Turkish company supports the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine.
